Welcome to Subha family home in Birmingham
We are a lovely little family of 3. We love to host family as we live away from our home town and love to learn different cultures and meet nice new people. We are very social at the same time respect guest's privacy. We're a welcoming couple who love meeting people from all over the world! We've traveled to over 10 countries ourselves and enjoy sharing our experiences with our guests.
Our estate is a private prestigious which is surrounded by lots of greens and well maintained situated in Edgbaston Village. There are hardly rental properties in this estate as they are all owned by top cream of people like Doctors & Solicitors. Our house feels like a perfect holiday home. The city centre is easily commutable by bus and the bus stop is less than 5 minutes walk. If you prefer to walk straight to the city centre, then it is just 35 minutes. From the city centre, the train connects to all parts of the UK.
A Home Away from Home (with a Multilingual Twist!): We understand the importance of feeling comfortable and welcome. We were both professionals in the UK for many years and are always happy to help in any way we can to make your stay enjoyable and enriching. Plus, we speak English and Tamil – and we love learning new languages from our guests!

2 double rooms are available to let for now. So maximum guests could be 4 at a time. But I have other rooms and if you let your group count we could work it out based on the availability.
Imagine a tranquil retreat after a day exploring Birmingham's vibrant energy. Our welcoming homestay offers a perfect escape, nestled in a quiet area yet close to the city center. You can literally walk to the city centre in 35 mins if you are energetic.
The guests will have morning breakfast and spend most of the day learning languages at school. They spend their evening meal with us at the dining table have some nice conversations. Then they have their personal time reading or relaxing before bed. Sometimes we watch movies together and go for walks and explore the area in the weekends. We also do yoga if they are interested.
Use the kitchen minimally (fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and dishes) but you are welcome to eat with us if you choose the half or full board. Feel like part of the family as you share meals and conversation (if you'd like!), or enjoy your own space.
We're happy to offer local recommendations! Immerse yourself in Birmingham's culture at the Museum and Art Gallery or the historic Jewellery Quarter. Find serenity at the Botanical Gardens or take a delightful canal boat trip. Indulge in a shopping spree at the Bullring Shopping Centre. Day trips to Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, or the Cotswolds are all within easy reach. We have a hiking group where we organise once a month hiking to lot of beautiful mountains and nature places. Live in the richest and largest greenest private Calthorpe Estate, perfect for jogging, picnics, or enjoying community events like fireworks displays and festivals. Broad Street, with its lively bars, restaurants, is just 15 minutes away.
