Welcome to Nadeeka's warm and friendly Homestay
We are a family of five. My husband works for NYS Government as a programmer.
I am a homemaker.
I have three kids two girls and a boy. My oldest daughter is a medical student, my second daughter is doing her Masters in Public health and my son wants to become a dentist.
Since all kids are off in college we basically work from 8-5
Our house is a very warm welcoming home.
We love outdoor activities such as camping and my kids are music lovers.
We have a piano, guitar and a drum set at home. We live in an upper middle class very safe neighborhood in Queens.
We have one of the best public transportation systems with very good bus service literally 200 feet from the home which takes you directly to the subway. Hollis Hills is a quiet and charming residential neighborhood located in eastern Queens, New York. With its well-manicured lawns, tree-lined streets, and picturesque homes, Hollis Hills offers a suburban feel amidst the hustle and bustle of city life. The neighborhood is bordered by the Grand Central Parkway and is in close proximity to numerous shopping centers, restaurants, and community parks.
Nadeeka and her family were truly amazing. They took care of me as just like a member of family. It’s not only the time while I was staying, we still keep in close touch with each other. When I stayed at her place, I didn’t know anything about the U.S because this was the first stay for me as an international student in the U.S. They taught me literally everything, such as how to take a bus, open a bank account, help me to speak English etc... They always try to help or support me whatever I need. I was very comfortable to stay with them and I strongly recommend them to students from over the world.
