Welcome to Florence
Mother of two daughters studying law and business - 20 and 24 years old, we live in a very pleasant family house with a large garden in a residential neighborhood where life is good! The house is always very welcoming, as are its guests!
Coming from a background of good education, we appreciate friendliness, good relationships, and a cheerful atmosphere. We are particularly attached to French values, our culture, and our beautiful region, just like our lovely country.
We especially enjoy moments of sharing around meals, their preparation, our outings, and especially with the friendly and local networks that surround us.
The company of a small dog adopted from the Society for the Protection of Animals contributes to our joy of living and our enthusiasm for enjoying life!
Being empathetic, concerned about well-being, and people-oriented, I teach French to young people and adults using both oral and written communication modes that inspire me. I bring listening and sharing in a spirit of openness.
Indeed, since 2015, I have regularly welcomed young French and foreign students, whether during their academic studies in Grandes Écoles programs, university degrees, or occasionally as a host family, particularly for Irish or Spanish students.
I also welcome adults in immersion French programs for stays of 1 to 2 weeks. The stay is customizable in terms of the number of variable hours of classes per day and cultural and sports activities, also at their choice, given the numerous possibilities offered by the city and its seaside surroundings.
What drives my approach to teaching French immersion at home is also my commitment to a customizable and demand-based program specific to each individual. I enjoy adapting to enhance their level of French, being useful by providing my support, involvement, and past experiences, in exchange for the trust shown to me.
Isn’t our common goal to combine the useful with the enjoyable for everyone’s well-being while having a good time?
I have a versatile background with a degree from a business school specializing in marketing and communication, a degree from a journalism school, with a certification in digital, and I am an expert trainer in French. I have held roles in communication, web marketing, writing, creating editorial lines, and training in French. I have always supported content creation, proofreading, and syntax in "good French." Always focused on the French language with expert-level knowledge in spelling and grammar, I have also proofread and edited novels for authors, embarking on the adventure of teaching French that I am eager to share with you!
Since 2015, I have been regularly hosting young French students, either during their academic courses in Grandes Écoles programs, in university licenses, or more occasionally, as a host family, notably for Irish and Spanish students.
I also welcome adults in French immersion programs for stays of 1 to 2 weeks. The stay is customizable in terms of the number of class hours, which varies according to the desired investment.
<< I offer a sliding scale rate for individual classes starting from 20 hours per week, not exceeding 30 hours per week UPON REQUEST.
<< Upon request and depending on your preferences, I enhance your stay with cultural and artistic activities offered by the City of Nantes, as well as sports workshops to choose from according to the possibilities of our beautiful city and its coastal surroundings during your visit.
To ensure total immersion for my guests, I commit to having no guests of the same nationality during the stay. I also promise to ensure everyone's comfort in a young, respectful, and well-mannered atmosphere. And friendliness is always guaranteed.
Our trip to Nantes can be organized with or without a French immersion program for stays of 1 to 2 weeks tailored to your needs:
- Mornings: exchanges and sharing around a common breakfast,
- Number of hours of personalized lessons varying between 1 to 3 hours per day.
At around noon/1 PM: preparation and lunch together. An additional opportunity to share feelings in a friendly moment.
If the weather permits, meals are taken in the garden on the terrace, around a plancha or barbecue.
Afternoons are free or guided depending on the preferences of the guests.
We are fortunate to have many cultural, artistic, and sporting activities depending on the seasons, whether it be along the banks of the Loire, by the sea, or in our beautiful metropolis made up of 24 communes and 11 neighborhoods rich in the history of France.
We benefit from a city with many parks, each with its own diverse flora and fauna. Walks are indeed often on the agenda with my little dog who never tires.
Dinners bring together everyone who shares the house. It’s a time to recount your day, your discoveries, and to take time to unwind together, as a family or among friends. These evenings can be enhanced with fun board games. The good relationships in the neighborhood often lead us to gather for a dining aperitif, a barbecue at someone’s home. According to the generations, we enjoy Nantes at night to share a cocktail in the city square or go out for dinner if the occasion arises.
