Welcome to Ann Marie & Darren's house
We are a family of six, mom, dad, two daughters Zoe and Saoirse, and two sons Alex and Sean.
We live in a 5-bedroom dormer bungalow in the Co Galway countryside with beautiful views of Knockma Hill. Facing west for spectacular sunsets.
Mom is a part-time nurse who works one shift per week and dad is a full-time bus driver. One parent is always at home with the children, and we work around each other's schedules.
We will offer a home away from home for any student staying with us with an extended support network of friends locally who also host foreign exchange students. We are reliable and caring people with trained first aid.
Our Children are very active and are immersed in the local area with sports and activities, and we would endeavor to show any guest in our home such a lifestyle while staying with us.

We are a busy family of 6, we enjoy hill walks, picnics, beach trips and have a love for food and travel which we fit around school and activity timetables.
Dejamos a nuestra hija de 12 años con la familia de Ann. Desde el principio, a través del chat de mensajes, ya habíamos hablado mucho y sabíamos que era una familia perfecta para nuestra hija, y realmente lo fue. A demás de mantenernos informados todos los días sobre su situación, con fotos y mensajes, Ann cuido muchísimo de nuestra hoja ya que durante unos días se puso enferma y la cuidaron muy bien, además Ann es una estupenda enfermera, así que estaba en las mejores manos. Hicieron un montón de actividades tanto fuera como dentro de casa. es una casa preciosa y tienen un amplio jardín donde los niños pueden jugar al aire libre y sus hijos son maravillosos para dar alegría cada día y practicar mucha conversación. Nuestra hija lo pasó realmente bien y se fue con mucha tristeza porque con tan solo dos semanas sintió que ya pertenecía a la familia. Una experiencia absolutamente recomendable para aprender inglés y como experiencia de madurez si sus padres.
Notre fille de 14 ans a passé 10 jours au sein de la famille d’Ann Marie. Elle a été extrêmement bien accueillie. Elle a participé aux activités familiales et chaque membre de la famille a porté attention à elle. La famille d’Ann Marie est très attachante et généreuse. Nous la remercions sincèrement pour l’accueil réservé à notre fille et nous la recommandons pour des jeunes qui aiment vivre en immersion totale au milieu d’enfants.
