Welcome to the home of Claudia and Toni.
🌟 We welcome you to our home! 🏡🌍
Hello! 😊 We are a family formed by my husband, my two children, aged 18 and 21, both students, and me. We live in a village near Valencia, with a cheerful and dynamic atmosphere, where we love to share moments as a family. Additionally, we have Curry, an adorable pet who fills our home with energy and affection.
We are motivated to be a host family because we believe in the richness of cultural experiences and want to offer a warm home where our guests can feel at home while getting to know, learning about, and discovering a part of life in Spain. We love doing activities together, exploring new places, and meeting people from all over the world! 😊
Family composition:
Claudia (Mother)
Toni (Father)
Carol (Daughter • 21 years)
Adrián (Son • 18 years)
We have two rooms available. If they are from the same family, we can accommodate up to 4 people.
During the week, we start our day with a delicious varied breakfast, and we can take that moment to plan our day and learn about each other's activities, studies, and/or work. Usually, our children leave very early on their way to the University. Carol studies Business Administration and Adrián studies Biology. Toni works in the afternoons as a lifeguard and sports monitor at the Municipal Sports Center, and I have various part-time hours as a Childhood Educator or Socioeducational Technician in different facilities in our town, so I am used to working with children and teenagers of all ages.
In the mornings we do some daily activities like taking the dog for a walk, shopping at the supermarkets around us and/or at the traditional markets in the area. Especially on Wednesdays and Thursdays, when we have flea markets with countless products and options very close to us.
After a good lunch and a good rest, "the siesta," we carry out the usual activities. The kids usually go to the gym at the municipal sports center, where we also have an indoor pool that can be used all year round, and anyone can come for free swimming by paying a very affordable entrance fee that gives access to both the pool and the gym. And finally, a stroll through the orchard, the neighboring towns, or visiting a bar, which are everywhere, to taste the typical sandwiches and tapas of our cuisine is a good plan for an afternoon of relaxation. Our town is full of options to choose from; we also have a couple of dance academies very close to home where we can take drop-in classes. I usually go to Zumba and Bachata, and I have a lot of fun! Toni and Adrián do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Carol dances K-Pop!
On weekends, there is no set time to get up unless there is work to do, but we carry out outdoor activities that interest us, such as long walks, trips to Valencia to get to know the city that is only 7 km away, spending time at the beach, or afternoons of shopping, going to malls, cinema, bowling, etc. It can also be a good time to visit other towns or cities in the Community of Valencia. And if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we can always make a wood-fired Paella at home and spend a relaxing afternoon playing board games, watching movies, or series.
I am not a language teacher, but I can help you with reinforcement classes in our language, as well as clear up many doubts about Spanish vocabulary and grammar. Valencia is a very lively and fun city! and our nearby town is not left behind! The months of March and September are special for us as they are filled with festivities and celebrations everywhere. We look forward to seeing you!!!
