Welcome to Rehana's home
I'm Rehana and look forward to hosting you for your stay in Oxford. I have been hosting for over 25 years and have had many students from all over the world stay with us. I enjoy meeting people from various backgrounds and having their company as well as learning about different cultures, foods, and lifestyles.
My occupation is an Office Manager/Company Administrator for a biotechnology firm.
I have 2 bedrooms. Room 1 is a front room on the ground floor and has a single bed, luxury vision blinds and curtains, a desk and lamp, large wardrobe, bedside cabinet, hairdryer, and mirror. I have a newly renovated ground floor shower room through the living room which I can offer as a private bathroom (extra charges) for guest use only.
Room 2 is on the first floor. This room comprises luxury vision blinds, a small double bed, a bedside cabinet, lamp, and newly built-in wardrobes. There is an additional toilet on the ground floor as well as the shared family (new) bathroom. My home is newly refurbished and very clean and quiet.
I am in a great location near shops and close to public transport, bus numbers 15 and 10 run every 10 minutes. The journey to the city center is approximately 20-25 minutes. The majority of the language schools are in the city center and Summertown; I can support you to find a school. The nearest attraction is Lye Valley Nature Reserve or Shotover Park if you like to explore.
I enjoy walking, swimming, cooking, baking, watching movies, socializing, traveling, learning foreign languages, and fashion.
I speak fluent English and Punjabi.
My daughter is a nurse and mainly lives in London and occasionally visits home.
I am happy to host students from 21 years of age.
I have been hosting students for over 25 years and am very experienced in looking after them. Many have become friends and still keep in touch.
There isn’t a typical day as I can tailor days to suit individual guests and accommodate special requests where possible. Breakfast is provided and I allow my guests to prepare themselves as we may have different timings in the morning. We have our dinner around 7-7.30pm approximately. I can provide information on local language schools, how to get around, and about the location e.g shops (Aldi and Headington shops are nearby), attractions, bus routes and places to visit in Oxford. I am happy if you want to be independent and be available if you need any guidance or support. I can have conversations with you to help you improve your english language. Lye Valley is a great nature reserve near me, where I sometimes go for a walk, you can join me. There are also a couple of parks and a gym nearby.
PLEASE NOTE THIS STAY DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY ACTIVITIES OR VISITS TO LONDON OR TOURISM. This would require extra fees for those wishing to visit London Attractions and can be arranged for an extra fee for those who wish to pay.
