Bienvenue chez Deirdre
We are a regular family with 3 girls, aged between 12 and 17. We would like to have girls in that age bracket stay here too.. we also prefer two girls to stay at the same time to share a room. We have found this to be helpful to both us and our guests. Kevin is a composer and musician and the girls all play musical instruments. Two of them are in a marching band and play at national football games! We are close to Dublin city centre with easy access to plenty of buses. We are a 15 minute stroll to the train that goes up and down the coast and a short spin to the sea and St. Anne's Park.
We hope to make our guests feel part of the family and feel at home here with us for their stay.
There are other paid activities that our guests can do themselves like cinema, watersports, etc. We'd be happy to bring or guide them to these places if they have parental permission
I prefer to receive students in pairs. In this case they would most likely be the same nationality. The cost will be reduced for two sharing (please contact Linguifamily for this)
We are open to suggestion from our guests as to what they would like to do. If they have organised some english classes that's fine.
Otherwise they would hang out with one or two of my girl's in the morning. In the afternoon, we can take them to Howth fishing village, St, Anne's park, the beach or into Dublin city for some shopping.
If the time is right, we may take some trips in the country to see family.
Notre fille Emma a passé 2 semaines avec Deirdre et sa famille en juillet 2024 pour son premier séjour linguistique. L'accueil s'est très bien passé et elle s'est très rapidement sentie comme chez elle malgré la timidité. Beaucoup d'échanges, de ballades et de découvertes en prenant en compte les envies d'Emma. Merci à toute la famille.
Ma fille est ravie de son séjour, accueil chaleureux et à l'écoute des souhaits d'activités. Je recommande !
