Libby and John - An amazing opportunity to see Normandy whilst enjoying delicious food from around the world in a beautifully restored Presbytere.
LIBBY and JOHN live in a small village in the heart of Normandy with their two dogs Edith and Margaux. We have owned and completely renovated the historical Presbytere over the last 23 years resulting in a luxurious and stylish home which we are happy to share with you.
We lived in Hong Kong for 15 years and travelled extensively to countries such as China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Australia, New Zealand........ and as a result, your delicious meals during your stay will reflect our travels.
After leaving Hong Kong we lived in southern Spain for 11 years and travelled throughout Europe in our camper van, again picking up recipes to delight your tastebuds.
We are now permanently based in our French home and host students from around the world for English immersion stays and holidays.
Our focus is to offer a fun and relaxing experience whilst ensuring that only English is spoken and used throughout the entire stay.
As well as owning his own businesses, John was also a lecturer at University in the UK. Libby has worked for the public sector, has a TEFL qualification and has worked in the international school system in Hong Kong. She later became senior vice president of the Geddes Group.
We only accept single students with language lessons (2 hrs/day Mon-Fri, totaling 10 hrs/week), OR we accept 2 or more students without lessons if they are reserved as a group, such as siblings, friends, or relatives.
A week-long stay is from Sunday evening until Saturday morning/afternoon. Stays from Saturday to Saturday, if accepted, will incur an additional charge.
Breakfast is served every morning in the veranda overlooking the landscaped gardens.
Formal English lessons (extra) with Libby occupy the morning (usually 1 or 2 hrs).
Guests will then prepare a light lunch with John which may include Italian, Spanish or Chinese food.
Every afternoon is taken up with an activity which could include cycling, visiting local beaches, woodworking and local sites.
Some activities will attract an additional cost such as accrobranche, surfing, museums, go karting, kayaking etc.
Upon arrival home, guests then prepare the evening meal with John which may include Japanese, Malaysian, Thai, bbq......
If you have any energy left guests are welcome to use the fully equipped gym or the games room (billiards, darts etc).
Bed time is 9.00 / 9.30 / 10.00 pm depending on the age of the student and is agreed with parents in advance.

Je voyage beaucoup et rencontre beaucoup de monde mais il faut rencontrer ce couple pour comprendre que c’est un moment exceptionnel de partage que vous allez vivre !! Accueil 5 étoiles, Immersion TOTALE en anglais avec une parfaite maitrise des objectifs à atteindre, une implication et une bienveillance hors norme. Je ne vous parle pas de l’humour de John (un comique anglais né) avec qui j’ai beaucoup ri et grâce à lui j’ai retrouvé le plaisir de cuisiner comme j’aime : rapide et excellent. Tout est délicieux, aucune fausse note mais les nouilles chinoises de John sont à tomber ….. C’est mon chef 5 stars ♥️ Si l’éducation nationale savait transmettre une langue étrangère avec passion comme le façonne Libby pour vous, nous serions tous parfaitement bilingue… J’ai adoré mes cours c’est une femme très intelligente, consciencieuse, douce et of course professionnelle !!Vous allez l’adorer et bosser
