Welcome to Silvia

Hello, we are a family of 4 members, I am Silvia, I am an architect and work in administration, my husband, Joan, is also an architect and works in education. We have two children, the oldest, Joan, studies philosophy at the University of Girona, currently does not live at home, but comes often, and the youngest, Eric, studies Chemistry at the University of Barcelona. We live in a house with a garden and a pool in the village of La Roca del Vallès, in Barcelona. We are quite homebodies but we really enjoy walking, both in the countryside and in the city. We like board games, gatherings with friends, traveling, especially by car to explore new towns and cities. We love hosting young people in our family and teaching them our culture, our gastronomy, and our customs.
If you want to visit the city on your own, it's easy; there is a bus stop near our house that takes you to the station where you can catch a train to the center of Barcelona, and we will provide you with the schedules. It's very straightforward.
If your intention is to visit monuments, museums, and access places that require tickets, like Parc Güell, La Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló, or La Pedrera, it's better to have your tickets purchased in advance from home as they sell out easily, and it's likely that if you wait until you're here, you won't be able to go.
