Welcome to Jessica and Carlos's home in Spain.

We are a bilingual (Spanish/English) family. Both Carlos and Jessica are qualified language teachers, and our children Ana and Lucia are bilingual. We would like to help you improve your language skills through classes in Spanish and/or English (if desired), fun activities and outings to beautiful countryside, beaches and sites of interest in Asturias.

A typical day with us

Typically we will have classes and language-based activities in the morning. The afternoon could involve sports, a walk, or a visit to one of Oviedo's many parks. After a home-cooked evening meal, we might play games, read or watch a movie.

My husband is an experienced language teacher (Spanish). He taught Spanish language to university students at Aberystwyth University in the UK for nine years, and has an M Phil degree in the field of Spanish language teaching.
There are also several language schools in Oviedo (offering both Spanish and English tuition), if preferred.

Notre fille (15ans) a passé une très belle semaine à Oviédo. Toute la famille a été très sympathique avec Marie et a eu à cœur de proposer plein d'activités très variées pendant le séjour. Notre fille est revenue ravie de son séjour et à bien progresser en compréhension orale. Nous recommandons !!!!

Jessica, Carlos, Ana et Lucia ont été très accueillants avec ma fille de 16 ans. Jessica a été très attentive, avant le début du séjour, à connaître les besoins du contenu des cours pour s’adapter au mieux. Elle était très investie pour faire progresser ma fille. C’est une famille active avec laquelle on ne s’ennuie pas! Ma fille était triste de les quitter… Merci beaucoup!!
