We live in Normandy, in Elbeuf, which is located 30 minutes from the city of Rouen. Normandy is a beautiful region offering lush landscapes as well as a very present cultural and artistic heritage. We are 1 hour and 30 minutes from Paris, which allows us to take trips to the city easily.

My family consists of myself and my two children: Céleste, 14 years old, who is enrolled in a private school, and Virgile, 16 years old, who is homeschooled.

We live in a beautiful house that is very pleasant to live in and well-kept. It's a great location that allows us to be 5 minutes from a bakery, 5 minutes from the forest and nature, and close to schools. We have a lovely courtyard that allows us to sunbathe in the summer and have barbecues.
We have 4 bedrooms. Our guest will have a spacious room (20m2) equipped with a comfortable bed, a desk, and a reading area. Siblings or best friends are welcome, but they will share the same room.

Our diet is balanced, of good quality, and many products are organic. I cook a lot: cakes, biscuits, and sometimes even bread are homemade, fresh orange juice is often made from fresh fruit, and pizzas are made entirely from scratch ;-). I would be happy to share this passion for cooking with our guest. I am lactose intolerant (lactose-free), so I am used to adapting to special dietary needs if necessary.

With a background in engineering, I taught for 15 years. I offer, at no extra charge, French lessons (Montessori-inspired) as well as catch-up sessions in mathematics (a universal language). I have also been a firefighter for several years, so I am attentive to the safety of my home and the people in it. I am trained in first aid. I would be happy to share our daily life as well as help your child learn effective French.

I welcome children and teenagers of all nationalities; they will be treated as a family member and will participate in our family life and its organization.
We go to Catholic mass every week (no obligation). Near our home, there is a Protestant and evangelical church.

I offer long, fully immersive stays with schooling as well as short stays with or without a theme.

For LONG stays, I host only one guest at a time.
We have several public and private schools that can accommodate your children/teens for periods ranging from 6 weeks to 10 months.
On weekends, we typically go out to the forest, the museum, the theater, the cinema, a concert, bowling, etc., and each month we will go to Paris to visit the Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles, museums, etc.

For SHORT stays, I offer customized weeks. I welcome children/teens all year round for stays of 1 to 3 weeks. I propose 5 types of activities for which we will establish a schedule together before the stay.

1) French lessons:
In a classic stay, one lesson per day at no extra charge, which is 5 hours/week.
In an intensive stay, 2 lessons per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, totaling 10 hours/week with an extra charge.

2) Cooking workshops - INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:
French pastries: chocolate eclair, religieuse, profiterole, financier, fraisier, lemon meringue pie, custard tart, bavarian cream... as well as bread, brioche, family cakes (chocolate fondant, chocolate mousse, Nutella cake...), but also savory dishes: quiche Lorraine, crepes, Breton galettes, potato gratin, Savoy fondue or Bourguignon, ratatouille, shepherd's pie, Flemish carbonnade, and much more, but we won't be able to do everything in one week, lol.

3) Tourist visits:

Prices will vary depending on the activities and the stay you choose. We will establish a schedule in advance. The base price includes many activities.
I can also arrange round-trip transportation to the airport (200€).
