Bienvenido/a a la casa de Donna y John *incluye lecciones de inglés de 5 horas*
¡Somos Donna, John y Oscar, el perro loco de raza Spaniel x Collie! He sido anfitriona de estudiantes durante muchos años y también cuido de niños en guarda temporal. Mi esposo John trabaja a tiempo completo como rotulista/instalador. ¡Vivimos en Worthing, a 5 minutos de la playa! Nos gusta dar paseos por el campo, por la costa, cocinar y jugar a las cartas. John es un gran fanático de los All Blacks, ya que nació en Nueva Zelanda. Esperamos darles la bienvenida a nuestro hogar.
Tengo una cama extra y puedo alojar a 2 amigos en la misma habitación si es necesario.
Solo estudiante si así se desea, aunque también estamos dispuestos a aceptar 2 amigos si así se desea también.

Un día típico puede adaptarse a tus necesidades. Normalmente paseo a Oscar a media mañana, ya sea en la playa o en uno de los muchos hermosos paseos por el campo que tenemos en nuestra área. Si se requieren clases, podemos programarlas antes del almuerzo o más tarde en el día. Las tardes serían un buen momento para explorar la zona local. Hay muchos lugares interesantes para explorar en nuestra área. La ciudad de Brighton está a solo media hora en autobús o tren. Allí puedes encontrar el Pabellón de Brighton, el muelle de Brighton y muchos museos interesantes. Worthing en sí también tiene un muelle y una hermosa costa que puedes explorar a pie o en bicicleta (tengo una que puedes pedir prestada). Arundel, con su increíble castillo, está a solo media hora en coche o tren. Por lo general, cenamos alrededor de las 7/8 pm y pasamos la noche relajándonos, tal vez viendo una película o jugando juegos de cartas. ¡John también es un apasionado del ajedrez si te apetece una partida!
The two weeks I spent with Donna, John and their adorable dog Oscar were amazing ! It went surprisingly very fast ! It felt like I went there only for 2 days. I was a little bit anxious about going into another family, however Donna's family is different : they are kind, relax and always available for you. Donna really took care of me and John was always here to talk with me, to play chess and cards and to watch football or a movie ! I learnt a lot of things related to history, to pronunciation or vocabulary, and to Brighton and Worthing. I really loved walking the dog everyday, with him, you can't be bored ;) ! I also visited many museums or Arundel castle which is really astonishing. The food was tasty and Donna was here to answer to my needs. I have nothing to say more except that you need to do it and thank you Donna and John !!
Donna and John were very welcoming, I felt good since the first moment, like if I was part of the family. They are very nice, Donna asked me if everything was good, if I wasn’t bored but it was never the case because I did and I learnt a lot of things ! I learnt things such as the pronunciation of new sounds for me (I’m French), I also learnt phrasal verbs and English expressions. (very useful !) Donna knows how to adapt her lessons according to the English level. I also learnt many different things, for instance: John explained to me the rules of the cricket, I watched the classic English sitcom “Only fools and horses”. I cooked and ate traditional dishes and I loved them, therefore I will do it again at home ! Worthing is eclectic there are: the Channel, a swimming pool, museums, parks (with skateparks !), the pier with the seafront, a cinema, a theatre. Thanks to the Donna’s bike all those things are close to the home. At forty-five minutes in bus there is Brighton, a city with many different and interesting things such as the Brighton Palace Pier with rides, the Royal Pavilion (really worth it !), the Brighton museum, the Laines district (must see !)… The dog, Oscar is very funny and sweet. He was the last to accept me in the family… thirty seconds after I walk into his home.
I was really lucky to stay with Donna. Everytime she asked me if i was okay/ if there is something uncomfortable/ how was in school etc…. she always cared me with heart and be patient teaching and correcting my english written in a diary. It helped me A LOT I still have it at home and her miss your food - potato, beef, green bean ahah !
