Somos una familia amigable con mascotas. Vivimos en nuestra casa mi esposo, Matt, y yo (Michelle), nuestros 3 hijos viven cerca. Me encanta recibir invitados, cocinar y hornear, también hago conservas (mermeladas) y chutneys. También soy artista, pinto, hago pirograbados y disfruto de todo tipo de manualidades. Tenemos tres hijos adultos y dos nietos pequeños. Nuestra encantadora familia nos visita a menudo. Llevamos más de 20 años siendo anfitriones y hemos conocido a muchas personas jóvenes y mayores de todo el mundo; de China, Taiwán, España, Italia, Alemania, Austria y Francia.
Matt trabaja para una empresa de limpieza especializada, viaja por las Midlands y a Londres por su trabajo, pero siempre está en casa por las noches. A Matt le gusta la buena comida, el campo, pasear a los perros y ver películas.
Tenemos dos perros amigables, un gato joven y un pequeño loro. Tenemos un jardín con gallinas y un estanque. Cultivo hierbas, frutas y algunas verduras, nos encanta la naturaleza.
Vivimos dentro de los límites de la ciudad, pero estamos cerca del extremo sur del Bosque de Sherwood. Disfrutamos de la buena comida, las noches de juegos en familia. Conocemos muy bien la zona local, especialmente la historia de nuestra ciudad. Estamos a 20 minutos del animado centro de la ciudad y contamos con un excelente servicio de autobuses. Hay buenas comodidades locales; canchas de tenis y baloncesto, además de gimnasios al aire libre gratuitos. Hay centros ecuestres y deportivos a poca distancia de nuestra casa.
Ahora tenemos tres habitaciones disponibles; una individual, una pequeña doble (con una individual pequeña) y una habitación doble. Ofrecemos varios paquetes a diferentes precios.

Con previo aviso, podemos garantizar que no habrá otros huéspedes del mismo país, pero esto tiene un costo adicional. Los paquetes son negociables dependiendo del nivel de actividades/clases requeridas. Si deseas alojamiento con desayuno aquí y salir a explorar sin el anfitrión, esto sería más económico.

Our 15 yo child had a wonderful 10 days stay with Michelle and Matt. They had a lot of activities and the English level of our kid increased a lot. Michelle is an excellent cook. Highly recommended!
Je suis une jeune fille de 17ans, j’ai passé 3 semaines en juillet/aout chez Michelle et Matt. C’était 3 semaines incroyables ! Ils ont su me mettre à l’aise dès le premier jour😊 On a fait beaucoup de visites culturelles très intéressantes mais aussi de la cuisine, des promenades en ville mais aussi dans la forêt avec les chiens et des activités manuels ! La maison est très agréable et la cuisine de Michelle est délicieuse (les burgers de Matt aussi 😋) ! Le ville de Nottingham est super, beaucoup de boutiques intéressantes et des friperies 🤩 Je recommande grandement cette famille et je suis sûr d’y retourner dès que j’en ai l’occasion ! Ils sont adorables, drôles et très cultivés. J’ai passé un séjour inoubliable et je repars avec des souvenirs merveilleux et un niveau d’anglais nettement amélioré ainsi qu’une meilleure confiance en moi 🌟 Je ne peux que vous les recommander 🫶🏻 I am a 17-year-old girl, I spent 3 weeks in July/August with Michelle and Matt. It was 3 incredible weeks! They were able to put me at ease from the first day😊 We did a lot of very interesting cultural visits but also cooking, walks in the city but also in the forest with dogs and manual activities! The house is very nice and Michelle's food is delicious (Matt's burgers too 😋)! The city of Nottingham is great, many interesting shops and charity shops 🤩 I highly recommend this family and I am sure to return as soon as I have the opportunity! They are adorable, funny and very cultured. I had an unforgettable stay and I leave with wonderful memories and a much improved level of English as well as better self-confidence 🌟 I can only recommend them to you 🫶🏻
Einen Aufenthalt bei Michelle und Matt kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen. Ich war 3 Wochen ein Teil ihrer Familie und genauso habe ich mich auch gefühlt - liebevoll aufgehoben und umsorgt. Mein Englisch hat sich verbessert, allein nur schon weil ich täglich Englisch hörte. Michelle spricht ein wunderbares Englisch und geht auf das Sprachlevel jedes Einzelnen ein. Das war sehr hilfreich. Die 3 Wochen vergingen wie im Flug. Neben dem gebuchten Sprachunterricht habe ich so viele verschiedene Ort gesehen und verschiedene Dinge erlebt. Es war eine wahre Freude! Tausenddank für alles!!! 100%ig werden wir uns wiedersehen!
My name is Elea and I am a 17 year old French girl. I traveled to Nottingham during summer 2023 and spent almost 3 weeks with Michelle and Matt. First of All I am grateful for this experience! I stayed almost 3 weeks but the time passed really quick! I shared pleasant and lovely days in their company and I loved meeting their family, the dogs (sooooo adorable), the cat and even the parrot. The city has no more secrets for me due to Michelle's knowledge and I know every detail of the forest thanks to Matt! I would obviously recommend this stay with them. Even if the experience seems intimidating, they know exactly how to make you comfortable and you would have marvelous moments while improving your english. J'ai passé 15 jours chez Michelle et Matt en juin 2023 . Excellent acceuil et ambiance très familiale qui me correspond bien. Ils ont été adorables avec moi (je suis une Ado de 16 ans), très attentionnés, cherchant à me faire plaisir et découvrir chaque jour des nouveaux endroits. J'ai pu aussi rencontrer les enfants de Michelle et Matt, tout aussi adorables, avec qui j'ai fait de l'escalade et nagé (mes 2 loisirs habituels). Je reviendrai sans hésitation et recommande chaudement.
They welcomed me very kindly. Indeed I felt right away part of their family! They are very nice and culturally open people. Michelle is a fabulous cook (as well as Matt with his amazing hamburgers, or better his Mattburgers), she is also an amazing artist and while I was there she taught me how to use a pyrography tool. Matt is a survival expert, after work we often went into the woods near Nottingham and he taught me a lot about plants and animals, in common we shared the passion for aquariums and on a weekend we went to visit a fish store!
They were very welcoming and I felt part of the family since the first day. Michelle is the perfect mum: very patient, lovely and always available for any kind of difficulties. Michelle is also one of the best cookers I have ever known; she can prepare ethnical dishes from all the world, from Italy to Asia or south America. Matt is a great dad and also an amazing friend. I used to walk out the dogs with him and play board games during evenings. He is funny, reliable and very kind. Matt is also the best burger maker in England and I had the luck to try one of his perfect burgers. I spent with them three weeks; from Monday to Friday I had freetime only in the evenings and we used to spend that time improving my english, talking about everything like a normal family but they were beware of my mistakes. On weekends instead we used to do trips around Nottingham. They were perfect city guides too.
I stayed with Michelle and Matt for 2 weeks, they were very welcoming with me, I remember that the first evening that I was there, there was a family party and they were all so nice, it was like I was part of the family! They showed me many things in Nottingham. I want also say that Michelle is an incredible cook! Besides, at the time, I wasn’t very confident about my English grammar, so Michelle and Matt helped me a lot about that, teaching me many things that I didn’t know. They were very present during my stay at they’re house, almost every night, if we didn’t go out in the city centre, we played a lot of table games.
